DRINK IN

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13

Christ wants His Church to be so saturated and full of the Holy Spirit that He is what satisfies, motivates, and guides each and every member of the body. Without drinking in this divine draft, the Church will be a dry and desolate desert. But with it, the Church suddenly becomes an oasis for fruitful ministry.

Drinking in the Spirit will produce the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit serves to guide us in the way we are to minister. God wants our works of service to be covered with love, abounding in joy, performed in peace, long on longsuffering, couched in kindness, overflowing with goodness, filled with faithfulness, rich in gentleness, and steeped in self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
